Scania Malaysia reduced 5 million tones of emissions to meet ESG Goals!

Scania eco solution customers have reduced 5,863,270kg of CO2 which is equivalent to planting 87,949 trees. This is a great step towards sustainable transportation. Scania is dedicated to decarbonized the transportation industry. Scania is the first to make it a standard to for our vehicles to be FAME prepared up to B-100 since 2019.

Sustainability is at the core of our business strategy aiming to align our targets and activities with sustainable development.

Scania's 2030 target is to use 100 percent green batteries, 100 percent green steel, 100 percent green aluminium and 100 percent green cast iron in its production. Scania’s definition of “green” requires eliminating the main sources of emissions by utilising new technologies, green electricity and/or recycled material. In batteries, access to green energy in production is decisive. In the production of flat steel, replacing coal with green hydrogen is key.

Scania Malaysia rolled out the first New Bus Generation (NBG) chassis from Scania’s Regional Product Centre (RPC) at Port Klang. The new and improved chassis offers the best in sustainable mobility, profitability, and driver & passenger environment to fleet operators.When operators include Driver Training & Coaching for their drivers, it can provide a significant impact on the reduction of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 10%.

The NBG is developed with driver and passenger environment in mind. The first-class driver area offers the best possible work environment in terms of ergonomics, reachability, climate control, and comfort. A comfortable passenger experience is achieved through a forgiving suspension, an efficient gearbox with smooth transmission, powerful engines, and a well-balanced weight distribution.
